Sweet Home - The Facility and Activities

Facility Services
Sweet Home is a Medicaid/Medicare approved skilled nursing facility. We have 42 beds, 26 private rooms and 8 semi-private rooms. Our facility offers top notch quality care, yet it is small enough to have a home-like environment. Our cats, Spunky, Ginger and Fred, live in the facility. We also have a beautiful bird aviary by the nurses' station. Occasionally you will find dogs visiting the facility when the staff brings their animals to work.

Adult Day Care services are also available for non-residents.

Dining
"The Dining Experience"
Residents enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. Residents and their guests are served by our dining staff in our lovely dining room, where assistance is available when needed.
Meals are buffet style with lunch and dinner menus featuring two entrees seven days a week. Residents are able to eat at their convenience during the meal hours. If a special diet is required, the Dietary staff is ready to prepare it. Sweet Home has the services of a licensed dietician.
Dining Hours:
Breakfast 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
Lunch 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Dinner 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Nursing
A licensed nurse and CNA's are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Dietary
Serving three meals a day in our bright cheerful dining room. A morning and evening snack is available for our residents at the nurses' station. We accommodate all special diet needs.

Activities
The Activities Department is on site Monday through Sunday. They keep our residents busy with many various activities. Church services are provided three days a week in Sweet Home's Chapel. Monthly birthday parties are hosted by community organizations for the residents. Bingo is played three days a week. The residents enjoy music, movies, reading, cook's corner, country drives, and games. We also offer Sweet Shop for shopping in-house.

Beauty
A licensed cosmetologist and Barbers are available and work in our beauty shop as needed.

Housekeeping
Housekeeping is a team effort at Sweet Home. The team is there for the residents and gives them a clean, fresh environment; and mainly a comfortable one that they can call home. The team is more than just housekeeping, they like to help in any way that they can, even if it is just to talk.

Laundry
"Resident Clothing Guides"
Residents need appropriate clothing in terms of durability, function and quantity. The clothing should be colorfast and machine washable and dryable. The wardrobe should fit the residents individual needs. It is recommended to mark all clothing items with a waterproof marker upon admission. All personal items such as bedding, dresser scarves, coats, and dry clean only items should be marked as well.
The following items need to be dry cleaned, which is at the residents expense.
Wools or woolblends
SIlk or silk blends
Leather products
Cowboy hats
Any items with feathers
The following fabrics do not hold up well in the temperatures we are required to use in our facility:
100 % cottons, particularly dark colors
Look for labels that have "Pre-shrunk & Colorfast"

Offering full laundry services for residents Monday through Saturday.

Room Rates
Room rates are $170 per day for Private Rooms; $162.00 per day for Semi-Private rooms.

Sweet Home has two outdoor courtyards for residents and family to enjoy.

Office Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
